Orlando Web Directory, Feburary Updates

First column for my web directory update column. We’ll start by covering what’s new, what’s gone, and changes in the site’s structure and more.

• Further modifications to the CSS and images to refine the site down.
• As of 2/19/8 the SearchrCrawlr went live and began indexing sites in the directory.  The crawler for the search engine isn’t indexing full sites, just a list of sites to start full indexing of.   After which, I will begin indexing sites at about 3 to 6 a week.  If I have an amount of smaller sites, I may do as many as 9 a week.

• The Payer Law Group was added 2/7/8 to Society & Culture -> Law -> Lawyers

• ADM Auto was removed this month. During the process of my review for it, I discovered the dealership was a precursor to Ultimate Autosports. It’s inventory links went directly to ultimate autosport’s inventory. As a result, the link was redunant and purged on 2/4/8
• Realty Savers & Wilson Financial Group was removed after their site was discovered to have closed down and forwarded to their web host’s domain. As a result the link was purged on 2/4/8.
• Trans Global Chemical was removed after their site was discovered to have closed down and forwarded to their web host’s domain. As a result the link was purged on 2/5/8.
• Jack White Apparel was removed after 3 attempts to verify the website was still online. It currently cannot resolve and I suspect the site was closed. As a result, the link was purged on 2/5/8.
• Sabree Swimware was removed after 3 attempts to verify the website was still online. It currently cannot resolve and I suspect the site was closed. As a result, the link was purged on 2/5/8.
• Talos Cargo Shorts was removed after 3 attempts to verify the website was still online. It currently cannot resolve and I suspect the site was closed. As a result, the link was purged on 2/5/8.
• Ajax Orlando Prospects was removed after it appears their domain has expired and been grabbed by squatters on 2/6/8.
• Buddhist Society of NW Florida was removed after 3 attempts to verify the site was online. It was removed on 2/6/8.
• extendedcircle.org was removed after it appears their site went down for good. the link was removed on 2/6/8.
• Fantasy World was removed after it appeared their site has expired and gone offline. The link was removed on 2/6/8.
• The Florida Seals site link was removed after I was unable to confirm the site status. The link was removed on 2/7/8.
• The Lakeland Tigers link was removed on 2/7/8 after their domain failed to resolve after 3 tries.
• Naples Community of Mindfulness was removed from the directory on 2/7/8 because their domain failed to resolve.
• Palm Beach Imperials listing was removed because their domain failed to resolve on 2/7/8.
• Ringling School of Art and Design appears to have closed down, as a result their link was removed on 2/7/8.
• The Socialist Part of Florida’s listing was deleted after it appears the party’s site folded. link removed on 2/7/8.
• The Tampa Bay Strong Dogs was removed from the directory after their domain failed to resolve. Deleted 2/7/8.
• South Florida Science Ficition Socity listing was removed after their link failed to resolve after 3 attempts. deleted 2/7/8.
• Jon Rowell Productions was removed from the directory after I failed to access the site on 3 tries. Link deleted 2/7/8.
• Central Florida Photography Club’s listing was deleted as their site no longer resolves. 2/8/8
• Church Street event’s link was deleted as the site appears to have been taken over by squatters. Link Deleted 2/8/8
