In today’s day and age, it’s good to know that knowledge can be summed up into age-old axioms of wisdom. I thought I’d start compiling a list of items and one liners that everyone should know.
The Trust Factors
- Everybody lies, so don’t trust their words.
- Never trust a traitor because if they can betray one person, they can betray you.
- Only fools and jackasses trust salesmen.
- There is no such thing as an Honest Person, just Relativity to the Perception of the Truth.
- It takes one to break trust, it takes forever to rebuild it.
- If someone tells you a secret, then how can you trust them with your secrets.
- Allow all to trust you, as knowledge will come to you and knowledge is power.
- A white lie is still a lie.
Business Success
- Having a lower price doesn’t mean cutting your neck, just means you’re cutting your competitor’s neck for them.
- Don’t sell to my generation, because we are jaded by your sales methods. Serve us well and we’ll buy.
- The best prices in the whole world won’t make up for a lack of a useful product.
- Having no sign outside your office is equal to a stupid suicide
- Smile and Laugh, not because it’s funny but because it’s a human reflex to help break ice.
- When cheap, people buy on quality. When expensive, people buy on cheap.
- A Union of Division can reveal hidden divides.
Politics, War, and Drama
- The key to victory is to be both your own ally, yourself, and your enemy as all reveal your enemy’s true weakness and reveal your true enemies.
- Choose your opponent’s battlefield for him
- Denial of Resources and Allies can turn a battle.
To Debate
- Never raise your voice, as your opponent will also and neither will be heard.
- When interrupted, start over.
- Expose Fallacies, then state your point.
- The strongest counter point is a stronger offensive point
On the Blissful Topic of Ignorance
- Ignorance will lead to folly.
- If you cannot sway ignorance, then let it stand alone.
- Be Responsible and take the right action.
- Ignorance is not an excuse.
