My on again/off again project for what, 3 years now? is finally done.
Well, not done per say, but done in the aspect that I don’t have to keep messing with the design, developing backend pages, and programming the damned scripts.
Nope, that’s Done!
The Orlando Open Directory is Open for Business!
I would also say 99% of the bugs are handled and killed, there should also be no more embarrassing 404 errors. I’ve added a new opt-out form and simplified the Submissions page. Everyone is welcome to join, but Florida web sites are desired (doesn’t matter if your site is great).
There are two things left to do, however, and this will be an ongoing project.
- Rebuild the Search Engine Indexes and being regular spidering of the sites in the directory.
- Clean Out link rot sites from the directory.
